RATIOS

Balanced body contouring means paying attention to the follow ratios:

Waist to hip.

Hip to thighs.

Respecting these ratios can make a `big BBL` look appropriate on the right frame if the legs match.

The fear of a `bad BBL` usually happens when the provider doesn`t pay attention to the entire picture (including optimizing the patient`s health).

MULTIPLE ROUNDS vs 1 SURGERY

There are usually a few reasons that a surgeon will recommend multiple rounds.

Most commonly: patient safety, limitations of hip expansion with fat transfer, operating time, etc..

This case involved 2 rounds.

Round 1: correction of fibrosis and BBL irregularities from another surgeon. This stage included revision HD liposculpture + round 2 BBL for asymmetry correction.

Round 2: preservation rib waist remodeling for curved spine / uneven hips

The reason we staged this case is because minimally invasive ultrasound guided waist remodeling was not available at the time of the first surgery.

With the advancement of pre op optimization (OTC supplements, peptides), ERAS, and minimal downtime anesthesia; we can safely do this all during one surgery pending medical evaluation.

PRESERVATION RIB REMODELING

During pregnancy the rib cage will expand and sometimes it does not return to it`s original location / angulation post pregnancy, leaving some with a `boxy/wide appearance.`

SKINNY HIP DIP CORRECTION

The side part of the buttocks (hip dip) has the tightest skin which means the least amount of fat uptake.

This also happens to be the area where most of my skinny BBL clients want more volume.

Skinny clients have the added challenge of minimal fat to work with and less forgiving skin that can lead to contour irregularities/ fibrosis.

RATIOS VERSUS SIZE

The debate that constantly comes up is buttocks size versus ratio.

The hallmark of a `big` or a `natural` BBL is if it fits the frame.

Most of the time the buttocks can look `too big` if the ratios are off, meaning the thighs and torso have to match the BBL.

For all of our cases, we do liposculpture 360 and may recommend to add on arms/ inner thighs to establish a better ratio.

HIP DIPS

Filling hip dips is a combination of sculpting the love handles (down to the iliac crest) and adding volume to the laterals.

On the table results generally look exaggerated and will settle over time.
