STARTING FOUNDATION Your starting body composition is one of many factors that will determine if you qualify for a procedure at our facility. There have been multiple previous posts (including in our guide) about the surgery requirements at our center, but it is worth reviewing. Body Mass Index is one of the criteria, and the upper limit is 30.0 (free BMI calculator on our website and also found via Google search). A BMI of greater than 30 also makes you at a higher risk for surgery and anesthesia related complications (ASA 2 classification). Some will see this requirement and submit their paperwork with a BMI of '29.9' Ultimately, you will be weighed once you arrive, and if the BMI is 30.0 or higher, the results will be compromised or your surgery will be canceled.
