MULTIPLE ROUNDS vs 1 SURGERY There are usually a few reasons that a surgeon will recommend multiple rounds. Most commonly: patient safety, limitations of hip expansion with fat transfer, operating time, etc.. This case involved 2 rounds. Round 1: correction of fibrosis and BBL irregularities from another surgeon. This stage included revision HD liposculpture + round 2 BBL for asymmetry correction. Round 2: preservation rib waist remodeling for curved spine / uneven hips The reason we staged this case is because minimally invasive ultrasound guided waist remodeling was not available at the time of the first surgery. With the advancement of pre op optimization (OTC supplements, peptides), ERAS, and minimal downtime anesthesia; we can safely do this all during one surgery pending medical evaluation. PRESERVATION RIB REMODELING During pregnancy the rib cage will expand and sometimes it does not return to it's original location / angulation post pregnancy, leaving some with a 'boxy/wide appearance.' SKINNY HIP DIP CORRECTION The side part of the buttocks (hip dip) has the tightest skin which means the least amount of fat uptake. This also happens to be the area where most of my skinny BBL clients want more volume. RATIOS VERSUS SIZE The debate that constantly comes up is buttocks size versus ratio. The hallmark of a 'big' or a 'natural' BBL is if it fits the frame. Most of the time the buttocks can look 'too big' if the ratios are off, meaning the thighs and torso have to match the BBL. RIB REMODELING The biggest trend at our facility for 2026 has been waist (rib) remodeling. For isolated cases we have a special protocol to limit discomfort (ERAS). Most clients rate the 'pain' as very minimal (2 out of 10) and much less than lipo discomfort. This client already has 2 inches off her waist line at 5 weeks post-op.
