What to Expect

Renuvion is an outpatient procedure that takes place under general anesthesia. During the procedure, Dr. Bedi will make a small incision near the treatment area to insert a device that releases helium gas and radiofrequency to create a stream of energy called plasma. The plasma generates heat to contract tissues underneath the skin while the helium gas provides a cooling effect.

In general, the Renuvion skin tightening procedure doesn’t take longer than an hour. Afterward, you may experience minimal swelling and bruising, which should clear up within a few days. Once the swelling subsides, you will likely notice an immediate difference in the way your skin looks and feels, although it usually takes at least six months to see the full effects.
