Skinny Brazilian Butt Lifts for Men & Women Throughout the Tampa Bay Area
Have you been told that you are too skinny for a traditional Brazilian butt lift procedure? You may think that your only option to lift and firm your backside is to receive butt implants, but there is now a specific procedure just for individuals like you! It’s called the skinny Brazilian butt lift (BBL), and it’s ideal for people who are looking to add more definition and mass to their buttocks without using a ton of fat.
Tampa Surgical Arts serves individuals throughout the Tampa Bay area, and our skilled cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Manik S. Bedi, proudly offers the skinny BBL procedure for his clients. Curious if this procedure is right for you? Keep reading to find out!
Frequently Asked Questions About Skinny BBLs
The team at Tampa Surgical Arts is here to help you sort through your questions about the skinny BBL procedure, and we’ve composed a set of our most frequently asked questions:
Who Is the Ideal Candidate for a Skinny BBL?
The ideal candidate for this procedure has a body mass index (BMI) of less than 25. If you have a BMI of 25 to 30, you may see more effective results from a traditional BBL. All candidates should not have a history of smoking
How Much Fat Is Needed for a Skinny BBL?
This depends entirely on your aesthetic goals. Smaller clients generally require less fat to make a dramatic difference to their backsides.
How Can a Skinny BBL Transform My Backside?
While a skinny BBL cannot make your buttocks significantly larger or more projected, it can add volume and change its shape. Dr. Bedi will learn about the results you expect to ensure a skinny BBL is the right procedure for your goals.
How Is a Skinny BBL Performed?
Generally, during a BBL, Dr. Bedi will harvest fat from the love handles and abdomen, purify the fat, and inject it into the buttocks. For a skinny BBL, Dr. Bedi may have to look for other areas to harvest the fat, such as the back, thighs, or trunk, and will make small, barely noticeable incisions to obtain this fat.
What Is the Recovery Process Like?
Recovery from a skinny BBL is similar to a traditional BBL: You can expect sore buttocks and should refrain from sitting for extended periods of time for a few weeks. You’ll need to wear a compression garment for two months after the surgery. Cold compresses and pain relievers can reduce any swelling and pain.
Is a Skinny Mini BBL the Same as a Skinny BBL?
A skinny mini BBL is not the same as a skinny BBL, but it can provide similar results. A skinny mini BBL involves a small transfer of fat that is injected into the buttocks. The main goal of this procedure is to provide a natural look—but with a slight increase in volume. Skinny mini BBLs are typically best for patients with BMIs of less than 21.
